TAOS, NM. (WLNS) — Today is Independence Day and across the country, hundreds of millions of people will be celebrating.
But for many in our community, celebrating is put on the back burner due to poor health.
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in alternative forms of medicine as people question the American healthcare system, and fear the side effects of many prescription drugs.
Enter, the New Mexico Herbal Clinic.
The brainchild of David Warren, a clinical herbalist, the clinic offers virtual consultations, worldwide, and boasts an on-site herbal pharmacy that produces herbal remedies tailored to each individual client.
Opening in 2020, the clinic moved into a new location this year.
"We quickly outgrew our first location," said Warren. "Our new facility is much larger with five treatment rooms, the herbal pharmacy, and a large reception area."
The clinic has clients from across the globe, many who take advantage of its tele-health program.
"We do virtual consultations for those who are unable to be at the clinic in person. We can then tailor a treatment for them and ship their herbal preparations directly to their home," Warren stated.
